On-Site Volunteering in Our Warehouse

General Book Sorting

We welcome individuals ages 13+(13-15 with an adult) to sort, sticker, and box books during our scheduled shifts. Browse, batch, and box books for distribution to organizations serving children and families. You’ll enjoy reminiscing with other volunteers about your favorite childhood books as you dig through hundreds of books and prepare them for young readers to discover. Volunteers will be assigned tasks upon arrival and will work among other volunteers.

Family Shifts

These special shifts are once a month on Saturday mornings for ages 8-12 and their adults. We are excited to share this opportunity for young volunteers to become involved in our mission. The shift will include stickering books, decorating/doing a craft, and other fun projects.

Evenings with the Associate Board

Volunteers aged 21+ can sign up for our Associate Board-hosted BYOB after-hours volunteer shifts. Meet and network with other professionals while you sort and volunteer in the warehouse.

Group Volunteering

For groups with more than 5 people, complete our Group Request Form. Someone will reach out and assist you with scheduling your group event. We can accommodate groups of up to 20 individuals.
